Rita's Bio

Rita Balian Allen is the founder and president of Rita B. Allen Associates, an international career management firm specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, management training and career development. She is a lecturer at Northeastern University, a sought-after speaker and presenter, the author of numerous articles, blogs and the book, "Personal Branding and Marketing Yourself: The Three Ps Marketing Technique as a Guide to Career Empowerment". She has been a regular contributor for the Chief Learning Officer Media, Association for Talent Development, Huffington Post as well as a variety of other publications. Rita was voted one of the top ten executive coaches by the Boston Women's Business Journal.

Rita brings much human resources experience to her practice and has worked with leaders across all industries and professions. Rita has advised, mentored and coached executives and managers throughout all phases of their careers and critical decision making processes within a variety of business conditions including high-growth, start-ups, mergers, organizational change and resizing. Her specialty areas include executive coaching, leadership development, management training and career development services for individuals and organizations representing a variety of industries including high technology, biotechnology, medical devices/pharmaceuticals, financial services, professional services, higher education, healthcare, retail/consumer products and manufacturing.

Previously, she held roles at Gatti & Associates, C.R. Bard, Inc., BTU International, and Unitrode Corporation. She holds an MS in Leadership and a BS in Business Administration from Northeastern University; is an Advanced Certified Personal and Executive Coach through the College of Executive Coaching and a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation. Rita is certified in a variety of assessment tools.

Rita has served in numerous board roles including past president of The Boston Club, board member of More Than Words and past president of the Association of Career Professionals International - New England. She was recently appointed to serve as a board member of the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers of the Supreme Judicial Court. In addition, she is an active member of the Association for Talent Development, The Boston Club and the International Coaching Federation.

Rita is fluent in Armenian, loves to cook, travel, read, do yoga and listen to all kinds of music. Her greatest pleasure is spending time with her family!
