Dear Colleague, |
November 2018 |
Happy
Holidays! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and an opportunity to show
your thankfulness to the special people in your life. One of the greatest
things about each holiday season is it reminds us to express our gratitude to
those around us as well as for all of our blessings. Wouldn't it be
extraordinary if we lived with and expressed that gratitude on a daily basis?
Several years ago, I started challenging myself to do just that and it has
changed my life dramatically. I'm sure you have heard the saying, "I'm too
blessed to be stressed." It is a truly powerful statement. If we live life each
day appreciating all that we have and expressing gratefulness, it allows us to
not only embrace all the good we have to be thankful for but also to view
challenges as opportunities allowing us to grow. Living with and expressing
gratitude daily helps to keep things in perspective while empowering us to have
the strength to push in new ways and tap into our best self. When we are
grateful, we also tend to give of ourselves to others in a meaningful way. In
addition, it enables us to make the choice to be happy and optimistic, each and
every day. I am thankful every day for all the people and opportunities in my
life, both personally and professionally!
One of the areas I am continuously grateful for is good health!
Health and wellness is a foundational necessity for living with and expressing
gratitude. It takes much discipline and practice physically, mentally and
emotionally. I am very grateful to have a daughter, Jillian, who is a
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, as my own nutritional coach and advises me
on what I like to refer to as the 3 important E's
eating, exercise and
energy. Through her counsel and practices with evidence based science, I've
created effective strategies that allow me to manage my 3 E's productively.
Please take a moment to learn more about her practice on her website at
Whole Balanced Nutrition, 'Embracing Balance for Whole Body
Nourishment',
www.wholebalancednutrition.com.
I would love to hear your stories of gratitude and thankfulness
as well. I look forward to hearing from you! Many wishes to you and yours for a
very happy, healthy and safe holiday season filled with much gratitude!
Best
Regards,
Rita Balian
