Happy 2019! As you kick off another year, be sure to make yourself a priority this year. Give yourself time to do the things that bring you joy and fulfillment. Allow yourself the opportunity to create memorable experiences, professionally and personally, and to be present throughout the year. Challenge yourself to push out of your comfort zone, be brave to try new things and be open to learning. Great leaders are life-long learners. I always share a powerful quote by Nelson Mandela, "I never lose, I either win or I learn." Each December, on the first Friday of the month, I have a practice of committing two hours to setting my goals for the next year. This empowers me to start the year with focus and determination. I also set timelines throughout the year to check in and see how well I am progressing with them as well as to make adjustments, as needed. Studies indicate there is more accountability when we write our goals down and have a greater chance of achieving them. Have you set your goals for 2019?
