Dear Colleague,
Have
you ever experienced that moment when you feel a sudden wave of physical change
such as an accelerated heart beat or clammy palms? Have you been in a meeting
where you can suddenly see and feel the mood shifting, people's body language
changing, and/or responding differently? These are a couple of examples of
heightened emotional intelligence - the ability to identify emotions in
yourself and others and then to use this ability to effectively manage
relationship with others. We are all familiar with IQ but what about the role
of EI, Emotional Intelligence, as a measure of personal as well as potential
leadership success and ultimately organizational performance?
I look forward to hearing from you with your updates as well
as your EQ learnings! Have a wonderful summer with plenty of fun and
relaxation!
Best
Regards,
 Rita Balian
Allen
