July 2020 |
Dear Colleague,
How
are you? Today I start every meeting and conversation with that question and my
genuine concern to know the answer. As we continue to live through
unprecedented times and experience the evolution of a new normal, we may
struggle in different ways and at different times. I have found allowing for a
connection helps all of us as we deal with the uncertainties of this
reality.
It
has been an unexpected 2020 full of firsts. We are living through a period of
history that we will be talking about for years to come. Yet, in spite of the
challenges faced, it has been inspiring in surprising ways. There have been
opportunities because of these challenges and I remain optimistic with the
potential ahead of us. Our ability to pivot, experiment and grow as
professionals and organizations is opening different doors. I am hearing many
stories of new norms, new practices and new ways of working that are creating
new possibilities. I'm inspired by the resilience illustrated in these stories.
Building our resilience helps us to endure as well as to be there for others
who need our support.
I welcome the chance to schedule a time to connect and/or
please send me a note to let me know "how you are". One of the pleasures of
working virtually is having the ease of meeting frequently. I look forward to
hearing from you!
Please stay well and safe!
Best
Regards,
Rita Balian

As I completed my term serving as President of
The Boston Club in
June, I would like to take a moment to say a word of thanks. I feel tremendous
pride and honor to have had the opportunity to lead such an amazing
organization as The Boston Club. I express my deepest gratitude for all the
support and many thanks to our staff, board members, numerous committee
members, all members of The Boston Cub as well as our corporate partners and
sponsors. It has been an incredible experience. I remain humbled and inspired
by the opportunity to have served you! |
